Save the Iran deal — it’s working

Last Friday, President Trump announced that he would refuse to certify the Iran nuclear deal — a deal that has successfully prevented Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon. This reckless decision was the equivalent of rolling a grenade into a room and walking away.

The president decided not to certify in spite of agreement from the U.S. intelligence community, the International Atomic Energy Agency and our allies that Iran is complying. Rather, the president says the deal is fatally flawed and not in the national security interests of the United States — but offers no good reasons why.
