Today, Equal Pay Day, reminds us that the fight for equal pay between men and women will be long-lasting. Congress is working on it, and leaders such as Sheryl Sandberg tell women that they need to ask for more. But young female college graduates are feeling the pain of the gap straight out of college despite going into higher-paying industries.
Women make 82 cents on the dollar compared to men, a significant pay gap. Does this gap look the same across the board in the job market? Not at all. A recent study by NerdScholar analyzed the pay gap at its extremes with data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) showing that the top 10 highest-paying jobs had the biggest pay gap.
We compared the 10 best jobs with the 10 worst jobs for equal pay. These were the key findings.
