In November 2018, the Center for American Progress and various partners launched the Clean Slate campaign. Over the course of two days, national, state, and local organizations gathered to discuss and learn about bipartisan clean slate policies. These initiatives harness technology to automatically clear certain criminal records and give people who have paid their debt to society much-needed relief from discrimination in employment, housing, and educational opportunities.

Aloha Backenstose is the digital media associate at the Center for American Progress Action Fund War Room team.
