After a Colorado bakery refused to make a wedding cake for a same-sex couple in 2012, the U.S. Supreme Court is now being asked to decide whether or not the bakery has a constitutional right to discriminate against LGBTQ people. If the Supreme Court rules in favor of the bakery, Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission could undermine decades of civil rights gains in the United States.
