An estate tax bill will come before the Senate as early as Wednesday this week. Click on this link to read a letter signed by six former senior advisors to President Bill Clinton that discusses the serious fiscal and fairness ramificiations of a vote to repeal the estate tax, or to support so-called "compromises" that are 70-90% as costly as repeal.
Click on this link to read a memo, previously circulated in June of 2005 and signed by 21 senior economists, academics, Nobel Prize winners, and former senior advisors to the White House, which addresses the importance of fiscally responsible estate tax reform.
