On this third anniversary of the September 11 attacks our thoughts and prayers are with the survivors and the families of those who perished. Much as the images of that awful day are forever branded into our memory, we know that the pain and sorrow they have suffered is an open wound that will never heal. As Americans it is our responsibility to never forget the men, women and children who lost their lives – and, as Americans, it is our obligation to do whatever it takes to see that it never happens again.
