It’s Time to Put High-Quality Child Care and Pre-K Within Reach
Right now, U.S. policies are out of step with the realities of American families. Early education prepares children for school, gives families a fair shot to make ends meet and get ahead, and strengthens the economy. A strong economy starts with strong families. But low quality and skyrocketing costs are putting child care and preschool out of reach for millions of hard-working Americans, leaving families struggling to choose between their paycheck and their child’s care. An overwhelming majority—88 percent—of Americans agree that it is time to put child care and preschool within reach for working families.
