Allison Young is a research assistant for Criminal Justice Reform at American Progress. Prior to joining American Progress, Young interned with The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, where she worked on topics such as the hard-to-count communities in the 2020 census and the restoration of voting rights. She also volunteered at her local Refugee Development Center and served as a refugee services intern at St. Vincent’s Catholic Charities.
Young is a 2018 graduate of Michigan State University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in social relations and policy with a concentration in Latin American race and ethnicity studies.
