Coleton Whitaker is the campaign coordinator at American Progress, where he is responsible for campaigns and outreach focusing on K-12 education policy at the state and national levels. Prior to joining American Progress, Whitaker was the advocacy associate for Americans for Responsible Solutions, or ARS, the gun violence prevention organization founded by former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ). At ARS, Whitaker worked on advancing state and national gun safety legislation while also building relationships with partners and organizations. Whitaker is a proud Texan and alumnus of Texas A&M University.
