Laura Muñoz Lopez is a policy and advocacy assistant for Immigration Policy at American Progress. Before joining American Progress, Lopez worked as a government relations associate at NETWORK Lobby where she managed the immigration and family-friendly federal policy portfolios. She graduated in 2016 from the University of St. Francis (USF). While at USF, she received a bachelor’s degree in business management and political science and was heavily involved in helping undocumented students pursue higher education and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals status. Originally from South Carolina, Lopez enjoys attending marches and rallies, spending time with her cats, and learning new cultures.
