Pat Collier IV is a Director of Government Affairs at American Progress. In this capacity, he manages a portfolio of issues that include energy and environment, immigration, judicial nominations, voting rights, and criminal justice reform.
Prior to joining American Progress, Collier spent several years in Senate leadership as policy counsel for the Senate Democratic Policy Committee, where he managed the committee’s energy, climate, immigration, gun control, and voting rights portfolio. He previously served as deputy state political director for the 2008 Obama for America campaign in Georgia and as legislative assistant to Rep. Jim Davis (D-FL), where he managed the congressman’s House Energy and Commerce committee work.
A native Chicagoan obsessed with the Chicago Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks, and White Sox, Collier is also a graduate of the University of Virginia and the Washington University in St. Louis School of Law.
