Corey Ciorciari is the director of Policy and Research for the Center for American Progress Action Fund War Room, where he oversees the policy development and investigative research operations of the rapid-response War Room. Before joining American Progress in 2017, Ciorciari served as a policy advisor for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, during which he maintained a national policy portfolio that included criminal justice, immigration, gun violence prevention, K-12 and early childhood education, and family-centric economic issues. Ciorciari also served as a policy advisor to Rahm Emanuel as a mayoral candidate, mayor-elect, and mayor of Chicago. He started his political career on then-Sen. Barack Obama’s (D-IL) presidential campaign during the 2008 election cycle.
A native of New York, Ciorciari holds a J.D. from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida.
