WASHINGTON, D.C. - On Monday, December 10, Harvard University President Drew Faust will sit down with CAP President Neera Tanden for a wide-ranging and candid conversation about the national economic role of U.S. institutions of higher education, the emerging use of technology to expand and enrich workforce development, and a range of open policy questions—from immigration reform to rising college costs.
A panel of industry, financial, and scientific leaders will then discuss the government’s role in strengthening U.S. innovation, entrepreneurship, and human capital development.
Top White House economic adviser Gene Sperling, who has been closely involved in ongoing negotiations over year-end tax and budget decisions, will conclude this important event with remarks about the difficult choices we face in the coming weeks, and how we can navigate a path to sustainable budgets that also nurtures U.S. innovation, discovery, and education.
