3 Reasons Obama Should Pay Attention to Libya

Brian Katulis writes on why President Barack Obama should be paying attention to Libya.

There is little doubt that President Barack Obama’s meeting in Brussels this week with NATO partners will focus on Ukraine and reassurances to European allies in the face of threats posed by Russia over the past few months.

The day before President Obama delivered his national security speech at West Point last week, the United States issued a travel warning urging U.S. citizens to depart Libya. Washington also positioned military assets to prepare for a possible evacuation of U.S. citizens.
