David Gauthe

Mr. Gauthe served as a BISCO volunteer beginning in 1995 before being promoted to a full time position in 2008. BISCO (Bayou Interfaith Shared Community Organizing) is a faith based group composed of everyday and ordinary people working together with their ministers to affect positive change in the parishes of Lafourche and Terrebonne in South Louisiana. BISCO's mission is to build a powerful, multi-faith, multi- racial, multi- issue organization that serves as a voice for all people in the communities of these South LA parishes. BISCO's biggest challenge is directed to addressing the massive humanitarian, economic, environmental, cultural and social impacts facing our community and the world as a result of devastating man-made coastal land loss in our area. Mr. Gauthe has a Bachelor of Science degree from Nicholls State University and is a LA Licensed Life Insurance agent and a Licensed NASD (National Association of Securities Dealers Agent.) David has won several awards for his service to his community including the Presidential Award from NIS Financial Services; the Angel of the Year Award, and as a volunteer in his community, has won awards including the Outstanding Young Man of Thibodaux and runner-up for Outstanding Young Man in Louisiana. His family was also the recipient of the runner up for the Great American Family Award of Thibodaux and runner up for the Great American Family of Louisiana Award, given by the National Jaycees.
