Susana Martinez
Susana Martinez, LGSW, is director of youth development and responsible for implementation of Latin American Youth Center's Promotor Pathway, a unique mentoring program for youth. Ms. Martinez, a licensed social worker who has worked with Latino communities in central Texas and Washington, D.C., has expertise in providing clinical and case management services to immigrant families, victims of domestic violence, and youth and families within the child abuse and neglect system.
In addition, Ms. Martinez has supervised and trained youth development staff in crisis management and motivational interviewing, most recently as administrator of LAYC's Residential Foster Care programs, where she ran two group homes for foster care youth and managed a team of 10 staff.
Ms. Martinez received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Georgetown University and her master of science in social work from the University of Texas at Austin.
