Ashley Bommer
Ashley Bommer is the special advisor to the special representative on Afghanistan and Pakistan. She works on strategic communications, media, technology, and trilateral issues, and plans and implements SRAP's trips to the region. Her op-ed articles have appeared in the International Herald Tribune, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Guardian, The Scotsman, Japan Times, Pakistan Daily Times, Project Syndicate, Carnegie Council's Online Journal, and numerous foreign policy websites and blogs. The House Committee on Foreign Affairs has presented her writings on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border on the record. Ashley is a term member at the Council on Foreign Relations. She was selected as a Carnegie Council Young Leader for 2005-2007, a Columbia University Next Generation Fellow for 2006-2007, and a founding member of the International Women's Health Coalition Leadership Council. She was born in Sacramento, California and now lives in Washington D.C.
