Wade Henderson
Wade J. Henderson is President and CEO of the nation's premier civil and human rights coalition—the 200-member Leadership Conference on Civil Rights and Counselor to the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights Education Fund. Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Mr. Henderson attended Howard University and received his law degree from Rutgers University School of Law. Mr. Henderson began his career with the Washington office of the American Civil Liberties Union and was later hired to head the NAACP's Washington bureau. Mr. Henderson is the Joseph L. Rauh Professor of Public Interest at the University of the District of Columbia.
