Eduardo Santos

Mr. Santos has been working as senior officer for the Portugese Climate Change Commission and Deputy Head of Delegation to UNFCC negotiations since 2007. In this position he has been issue leader for the European Union on the Ad-hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action (AWGLCA) and coordinated the Portugese position in EU-internal negotiations on climate change policies such as the European Emissions Trading Scheme. Prior to this Mr. Santos has been a desk officer at the Portugese Institute for the Environment where he coordinated national reports to the European Commission and the UNFCC Secretariat. Mr. Santos studied environmental engineering, spatial and environmental planning at the New University of Lisbon and Public Management at the National Administration Institute.
