Matt Hill
Matt Hill is currently working for the Oakland Unified School District as the Executive Officer for Strategic Projects. In this role he oversees the District's strategic planning process and helps manage the strategic projects for the district. Prior to this role he was the Program Manager for Expect Success. Expect Success is the school district's $43 M reform program that consists of over 20 initiatives. Prior to joining Oakland Unified, Mr. Hill's background consisted of business consulting and marketing strategy. Mr. Hill worked in Black & Decker's Business Development group, where he redeveloped the strategic planning process for the Hardware and Home Improvement division. Mr. Hill also worked as a strategy consultant with the Johnson and Johnson UCLA Management Fellows program for Head Start and healthcare executives. Previously, he worked for Accenture as an analyst, and then as a process consultant in the financial services industry, where he worked on technology and strategy projects. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina and a Master of Business Administration from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. In addition Mr. Hill serves on the Board of Directors for the Children's Council of San Francisco. Matt is married to Karen Arrigo-Hill and they have a son named Emerson.
