Amanda Logan
Research Associate
Amanda Logan is a Research Associate with the economic policy team at American Progress. Her work largely focuses on issues surrounding lower- and middle-income American families, including prices for necessities, wages and benefits, economic distress, and how they view economic policy. Amanda has discussed economic policy issues on TV, radio, and web programs, and served as a guest blogger on several websites. Her work has been referenced in national media outlets such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Nation, U.S. News and World Report, CNN, and "NBC Nightly News," and she has also co-authored several academic journal articles.
Amanda has been with American Progress since 2006, first working as a Special Assistant for Economic Policy. Prior to joining American Progress, she interned with the Center for Economic and Policy Research, the European Parliament, the National Low Income Housing Coalition, and the Idaho National Laboratory. A native of Idaho Falls, ID, Amanda graduated summa cum laude from Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA with a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science.
