James Hairston
Research Associate
James Hairston is a Research Associate with the Economic Policy team at American Progress. A native of Jersey City, NJ, James received his B.A. in social studies from Harvard University in 2007 and a J.D. from Stanford Law School in 2010. During his junior year at Harvard, he spent a semester abroad at Universidade Católica do Salvador in Salvador, Brazil, studying Portuguese and Latin American history. Following college, he served as president of his class and of the Black Law Students Association at Stanford.
