Ali Fisher
Policy Analyst and Manager, China Studies
Ali Fisher is a Policy Analyst and Manager of the China Studies program at American Progress. Prior to joining the Center, Ali worked as a research associate at Wellington Management in Boston, providing analysis of equity investments and macroeconomic projects for the firm’s portfolio managers and analysts. As an undergraduate at Brown University, where Ali earned a bachelor’s in international relations, she was president of the Brown Investment Group.
Fisher has long been passionate about international affairs and nonprofit projects. While working on her undergraduate degree, she studied international relations at East China Normal University in Shanghai, China and participated in a Middle East symposium on international conflict resolution and negotiation. She has also interned in the Asia Division of Human Rights Watch in New York City and at Newmark Knight Frank in Shanghai, China. She also participated in multiple relief trips to Tanzania, Fiji, and Thailand.
