Sarah Dreier
Fellows Assistant
Sarah Dreier is the Assistant to the Faith and Progressive Policy Initiative and serves as an assistant to senior research fellows. In addition to religion and politics, she works on human rights issues. Before coming to American Progress, Sarah worked as a research assistant for the American Bar Foundation and a granted researcher for the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission. Sarah received an international master of the sociology of law degree from the University of the Basque Country in Oñati, Spain. Her cum laude honors thesis examined U.S. reaction to the Muslim Prophet Muhammad cartoon controversy in Denmark’s newspapers. She graduated from Northwestern University in 2005 with departmental honors in philosophy and legal studies, and was a beat reporter for the Daily Northwestern student newspaper. She is a native of Rochester, MN.
