Winny Chen
Research Associate
Winny Chen is a Research Associate for the National Security and International Policy Team, where she supports the Senior Vice President for NSIP. She also works on the Sustainable Security Project and issues related to U.S.-China policy. Chen received her master’s degree with honors from the Security Studies Program in Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. She graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown with a bachelor’s degree in English and Government. Prior to joining American Progress, Chen interned with the Congressional and Public Affairs Department in the Millennium Challenge Corporation and at the Henry L. Stimson Center, where she focused on East Asian regional security issues. She has also served as a litigation paralegal in the law offices of Winston & Strawn, LLP.
