Domestic Policy Internship

The Domestic Policy Team focuses on six key policy areas including education, energy, health care, poverty, regulation and women’s health and rights. In pursuing significant change in these areas, Team members regularly produce policy proposals, host panel discussions to further public discourse and work to build relationships with other organizations working in their area of concentration. Team members also work with our Communication and External Teams to bring attention to their work from both the media and Congress.

Domestic Policy interns are typically matched with the analyst group working on an issue of particular importance and/or interest to them. During their time here, interns are responsible for web-based research in their issue area, compilation and analysis of data and data trends, organizational work for the Domestic Team as a whole, and preparatory work for events.  Whenever possible, Domestic interns are encouraged to write on the subject of their choice either as a contributor to a larger final piece or as an individual author of a column for our website.
