Director, Anti-Hate Table
Melinda Warner is the Director of the Anti-Hate Table at American Progress. Most recently, Warner served as the vice president of research at Media Matters for America, overseeing their vast media-monitoring and research operation. During her four years with the organization, Warner produced research product and written works around health care reform, national security, comprehensive immigration reform, the nativist movement, and the Tea Party. She has worked with Australia’s GetUp! to set up their own media-monitoring operation and is an active member of the Truman National Security Project.
Prior to Media Matters, Warner fought for health care reform at the Service Employees International Union, engaged in the 2008 presidential campaign at Progressive Accountability, and pushed to end the Iraq War at Campaign to Defend America.
