Eryn Sepp
Special Assistant
Eryn Sepp is the Special Assistant to the Chair and Counselor at American Progress. She previously interned at the Center, working with Senior Fellow Brian Katulis on the National Security and International Policy team. In June 2012 she graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a B.A. in political science and a minor in geography. In her time at UCLA she was an urban planning research assistant at the Luskin School for Public Affairs and an editor for the UCLA Political Science Undergraduate Journal.
Eryn served as a U.S. Army civil affairs sergeant in Iraq during the surge with the Department of State Regional Reconstruction Team for the Kurdish Regional Government, where she focused on women’s and children’s rights, education issues, infrastructure projects, and business development. She also assisted with security and operations for the Department of Defense Task Force for Business Transformation under Deputy Undersecretary of Defense Paul Brinkley.
