Emilie Openchowski

Assistant Managing Editor

Emilie Openchowski is the Assistant Managing Editor at American Progress. She graduated from the University of Maryland in May 2011 with a double major in journalism and government and politics. Previously, she was an intern with the Online Communications team at American Progress and has also interned at Friends of the Earth and the National Education Association. While at Maryland, Emilie wrote a bi-monthly opinion column and was a staff writer for the university’s independent student newspaper, The Diamondback.
