Major Gifts Officer
Ryan Fleury is a Major Gifts Officer at American Progress. Prior to joining American Progress, Ryan was the deputy New England finance director for the Presidential Inaugural Committee and the Obama for America campaign. At the Presidential Inaugural Committee, Ryan solicited both corporate and individual financial commitments. During the presidential campaign, Ryan oversaw 35 New England events and served as a regional liaison for a network of volunteer fundraisers. While planning and organizing major donor events for the campaign, Ryan helped execute the New England multimillion-dollar fundraising plan.
Prior to joining the Obama campaign, Ryan was the political assistant at the Human Rights Campaign. During his time at the Human Rights Campaign, he was able to assist the entire legislative team in a variety of roles, including planning long-term projects and organizing advocacy days on Capitol Hill. He has also served in roles on Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley’s (D) senate race and at the U.S. Department of Transportation.
Ryan received a B.A. in political communications from Emerson College.
